Braces for gaps

Can braces cause a gap? Will the gaps in my teeth close after braces? How long will it take for braces to fix my gaps? Braces are put on, any minor turned teeth are straightened for a few months, then a stiffer wire is put in and spaces are closed with an elastic chain for a few months.

Are Braces Needed for Gaps Between Teeth ? The gap between two teeth is known as diastema. It’s most common in the upper teeth , the two front upper teeth in particular, but gaps may occur between any two teeth. It’s also the most common cosmetic dental issue that people want to fix.


Some conventional methods for closing gaps in teeth: Invisible braces ( clear braces ). Conventional braces (self-ligating). Hidden braces ( lingual braces ). Removable aligners or Invisalign.

However different lifestyles and different diets could cause an implant to become weaker and break. May be it was there to provide appropriate spacing to your teeth so that all Your teeth align in a proper way to give you a “BEAUTIFUL and LOVELY SMILE. So , It is Normal for braces to create gap.


Functionally, the patient is much better off after braces than she was before with gaps between her teeth. Assuming you don’t have any teeth missing , you can have gaps for different reasons: Some or all of your teeth are smaller than average. Your jaw is larger than average, leading to spacing between them. It can, however, take as little as months or as long as months, sometimes more.


For patients who only need to close a gap, braces or Invisalign may only need six to eight months to work, though some orthodontic professionals may suggest traditional braces for faster. Braces Traditional braces are another option you can use to close spaces between your teeth. If you do not think that you would be compliant with the Invisalign trays then the best option for you to close your gap(s) might be braces. If the gap is caused by periodontal disease, then periodontal treatment by a dentist or gum specialist (periodontist) is necessary. When gum health is restore in many cases braces can be used to move the teeth into place.

Insurance does not generally cover a frenectomy. Gaps between front teeth are especially common and can be adjusted by an orthodontist at Diamond Braces through various modes of treatment. Sometimes, a gap between teeth will resolve on its own over time, especially if the gap occurs in a young child. Porcelain veneers can cost up to $90 while name brand Lumineers can cost as much as $0per tooth. Both of these cosmetic procedures fall outside of most health insurance coverage. Partial braces and retainers may also be used to correct gaps in teeth.
