Patients with ceramic braces tend to choose tooth-colored or clear bands , so to match or blend in with the overall look of their braces. Light-colored elastics tend to stain. Light elastic bands (especially clear or white) often look great at first but then, due to exposure to foods and beverages, become stained and visually detracting.
Fortunately, today’s metal braces are smaller than those of years past, which means they tend to be less noticeable and more comfortable. Some people even embrace their new hardware, choosing cool colors for their bands.
Metal Braces : Who Won? The wire is what connects the individual braces together and aligns the teeth (see picture below). The wire is usually made of a silver colored material, similar to stainless steel, which does not blend with clear braces.
Each of those is a completely different braces system. What all of them have in common is that they all are very discreet and in some cases practically invisible. This is also a description of what to expect when going through the braces process for any.
The elastic ligatures or bands are the part of braces that is easily stained. You can easily change the elastic ligatures on any of your doctor’s visits and get a fresh, clean start.
The clear elastics are the worse for changing colors, folowed by the white and the tooth colored. The silver keeps it color the best. I would not recommend using any whitening agents because the center of your tooth is covered with the bracket. Not everyone has the same color teeth.
For people with teeth that have a yellow tint, it is best to opt for clear or silver bands. Favorite color: An obvious choice is to pick a color that you already love! The brackets used for ceramic braces are bonded to individual teeth and made out of clear or tooth-colored materials to match your existing tooth color.
Clear bands are often used in conjunction with ceramic braces to maintain an invisible appearance. However, clear bands are subject to staining. I hoped to try, mostly the pearl, clear , and silver. Braces are also very noticeable, especially the traditional metal braces.
Clear plastic and tooth-colored ceramic braces may be used in place of metal braces for a more inconspicuous appearance. Each type of braces has advantages and disadvantages, and the decision must be made with advice from your orthodontist. If you sport metal ( silver ) braces , the best choice of color is selecting a corresponding silver or gray color. That was my only drawback though.
See here for for more on clear braces vs.
On the other han if you’re getting typical steel braces , your brackets and wires will be silver. It’s the tiny elastics (or bands ) that allow you to colorize your mouth! Choosing different bands will allow you to show off different colors, or even an entire color scheme. Kids said Daddy you can get colors, you should get blue I said Ok blue on the bottom?
They said No on the top and the bottom So now I am rocking the Royal blue on the top and the bottom. Yep on the ceramic and everything.
