Unbearable tooth pain what to do

The gums around my teeth , that have a cavity in them hurt very badly. I have taken Ibuprofen, Tylenol and nothing seems to touch the pain. Make a paste out of ginger and cayenne by mixing the two with water. Roll a cotton ball into the paste just enough to saturate it. Put it on the aching tooth while avoiding your gums and tongue.


Let it stay there until the pain recedes—or as long as you can handle it.

Don’t forget, the concoction is prone to burn. Salt water rinses are one of the first ways I recommend you treat. It’s important to note, however, that the active ingredient in clove oil is eugenol. There are no home remedies or cures for rotten teeth. No magic pills or rinses or mouthwashes. I think the pain is the worst whilst the nerve in the tooth is inflamed and dying. This works well for tooth pain caused from cavities.


Rinse your mouth with hot salty water – this is useful for sore or infected gums as the salty hot water will kill off the bacteria and ease the pain. Over the counter pain medication can work great to dull the pain until you can see a dentist. After incessant tooth pain brings you to the dentist, you learn the cause of your discomfort: you have a badly damaged or decayed tooth.
