Unbearable tooth pain while pregnant

Is it normal for your teeth to hurt while pregnant? What can a pregnant woman take for tooth pain? What pain relievers are safe during pregnancy? Can you get a tooth pulled while pregnant? The most common reason for tooth ache during pregnancy is due to the harmonal changes.

I crush asprin into a paste and pack it on the gum and tooth if that doesnt work I hold a tyrozette on the area rub it around ect.

My once-healthy gums became tender and swollen as soon as I became pregnant.

I think the pain is the worst whilst the nerve in the tooth is inflamed and dying. The pain responds somewhat to aspirin and Vicodin, but comes back in an hour or so after medicating. The pain itself feels like a vice grip coupled with a sharp throb.
