Jaw and tooth pain that comes and goes

This is usually more common with emerging wisdom teeth mainly because they develop years after the rest of the adult teeth have developed completely. Sometimes, there is not enough room for the wisdom teeth to come out completely. This leaves them trapped beneath your gum, causing toothache that comes and goes. New growing teeth can cause pain in the gums, jaw , and surrounding teeth , for example, teething babies, children growing new teeth and adults growing wisdom teeth.


You may feel toothache in many ways.

Eating or drinking can make the pain worse, particularly if the food or drink is hot or cold. The pain can also be mild or severe. It may feel sharp and start suddenly. It’s an indicator that something is happening right then, right in that moment.
